YinzConnect is a concept app specifically for events in Pittsburgh and surrounding towns/cities. I came up with the concept of this app because I would find myself googling "events in Pittsburgh this weekend" and going on Facebook's event page almost every week searching for something fun. This made me wish that I could look at the events all in one place, thus, the concept app of YinzConnect was created.
Since I was raised in a small town outside of the city, I knew I had to incorporate the signature Pittsburgh slang of 'Yinz', and of course, black and yellow. The app features multiple ways to search for events and have them narrowed down to a certain day/week/month, location or even category. It even features a suggestion tab, and after using the app for a while, it will start recommending events that the user may be interested in.
